Information Pack for Adult Passport Renewal Mailed-in Application (PC7)

Eligibility

For an Adult passport renewal, you must be 18 years and over and you will need a passport that:

was issued when you were aged 16 or older
was issued on or after 1 January 2006
had, when it was issued, at least two years’ validity
has your current name, date of birth, place of birth and gender
has not been reported lost, stolen, or cancelled, and
you are not requesting a replacement passport for.

If you can answer yes to all the above, complete your overseas passport application online PC7 passport renewal application and read all attachments carefully.

If you don’t meet these criteria, you’ll need to lodge your application in person by appointment only.

For first-time child applications and applicants aged 16 or 17, the application must be lodged in person by appointment only. For appointments, kindly contact us on +92-51-8355500 option 2 (Passport Section). Please note that due to increase in demand for Australian passport, there is considerable waiting time for appointments.

For applications lodged by mail in Pakistan

For mailed in passport applications, a drop off and collection service at the Australian High Commission Islamabad is NOT available.
Please complete Overseas Passport Application form online (*onshore application form is not acceptable)
DO NOT send any original documents, including your existing passport.
Incomplete applications will be delayed. Common issues include:
- Photos that don’t meet the guidelines, are digitally altered, or have inks marks on them.
- Signatures must be inside the declaration ‘white’ box, and application forms dated using the correct format (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Payment via Bank Draft/Pay Order only in favour of “Australian High Commission Official Account” for an exact amount in PKR.

Guide for Adult renewal application (PC7) by mail

	1. Complete online application form (PC7) The application must be lodged within six months of completion. Please do not send any original documents, carefully read frequently asked question (FAQs).
	2. Print and sign your application form Print your application on plain white A4 paper, using blank ink only. Make sure your form has printed in full and isn't cut off at the top or bottom of the page. US standard letter paper or US legal paper sizes are also acceptable, but only if they’re scaled properly. Refer to more information on printing your application form Sign the form using black pen, within the signature box. Make sure there are no alterations or whiteout on the signature or the date.
	3. Photos Four recent identical colour photos, less than six months old with your full name written on the back of one photo. Refer to photo guidelines for more information. You must write full name in BLOCK LETTERS on back of one photo. Do NOT attach the photos to the form as this may damage them. You may wish to get photos from suggested photo studios in Pakistan, however, “The Australian High Commission does not endorse any of the photo studios appearing in the list, provides no guarantees as to their quality and does not accept any liability if you choose to engage one of these photo studios”.
	4. Payment The Passport fee can be paid only by a pay order/bank draft issued by any bank in Pakistan in Pakistani Rupees in favour of “Australian High Commission Official Account” for the exact payable amount. Turnaround for passport applications is up to six weeks from the day you receive passport application receipt from passport section. There is no priority processing available in Pakistan. 	5. Check your adult passport renewal checklist Before posting your application, review your adult passport renewal PC7 checklist.
	6. Post your application Post your completed application to: Passport Section \| Australian High Commission \| Constitution Ave and Ispahani Rd, Diplomatic Enclave No. 1, G-5/4 \|Islamabad \|Tel: 0092-51-8355500 PLEASE NOTE: Passport applications should be received at the above address before last seven working days of the month. Applications received after this time period will be processed in the following month with new passport fee which may cause delays in processing. Have you included: Your printed and signed application form. Four (4) Passport photos with complete name written in BLOCK LETTERS on the back of one photo. Correctly issued bank draft/pay order from any bank in Pakistan.
	7. How long will it take? Please allow a minimum of six weeks to renew your passport once payment receipt sent to your email address. Kindly note, while most passports are being processed in less than six weeks, some are more complex and take longer. We will post your new passport out to you via local courier service (in-person collection is NOT available for mailed in applications). PLEASE NOTE: incomplete applications will cause delays.
