Australian High Commissioner, Mr Tim George welcomes
SMEC’s acquisition of CEIS

Australia’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr Tim George today congratulated Australian company Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation (SMEC) on its decision to acquire the Pakistan operations of Clough Engineering and Integrated Solutions (CEIS).

At a function to welcome SMEC’s acquisition, Mr George said:

 

‘Australian engineering companies have an excellent global reputation. We are pleased that CEIS will be able to continue its important work in Pakistan as wholly owned subsidiary of SMEC International Pty Ltd.

This highlights Australia’s interest in developing our bilateral trade and investment relationship with Pakistan, and to strengthen the links between the business communities of our two countries.’

CEIS under SMEC expands its business in Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM), Project Management and Integrated solutions in Oil & Gas emerging market globally. SMEC’s acquisition exploits CEIS’ experience of high quality engineering design facility with a proven ability to attract and retain skilled personnel, strong local reputation (through 16 years of operation in the Pakistan market), and strategically positioned office with well equipped in-house support infrastructure.
